1. What Are Cookies
Nouna is operated by NURSOL + CO LTD ("NURSOL", "we", "us"). This policy is between you and NURSOL + CO LTD.
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Sites use them to keep you signed in, remember settings, and, often, to track you across the web. This page lists exactly what Nouna stores in your browser and why. It is short because the list is short.
2. The Cookies We Set
Nouna sets one cookie of its own, and only after you act:

Analytics and advertising cookies, only if you accept them
nouna.io uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and links bring people to Nouna. When we advertise Nouna on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), it can also use Meta's pixel to measure which of our ads bring visits and sign-ups. They run only if you choose "Accept cookies" in the banner that asks you. Until you accept, their scripts are not loaded and none of these cookies is set; if you decline later, they stop and their cookies are deleted. If you have never been asked, neither is in use.

While they run, Google Analytics contacts Google and the pixel contacts Meta at facebook.com, where each may read or set its own cookies under its own cookie policy. What each sends is in our Privacy Policy. We do not set A/B-testing or any other tracking cookies.
Browser storage that is not a cookie
Your sign-in session, and a few preferences (theme, your cookie choice, the plan you picked before signing up, the answers you gave while starting before you had an account, a draft of the contact form, the business you were last viewing, and small housekeeping flags such as when a page last refreshed or, if you accepted cookies, that your sign-up was already counted), are kept in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies. Only the session token leaves your browser, and only to Nouna's own backend. Everything else stays local and disappears when you sign out or clear site data.
3. Third Parties
A few services are involved in running Nouna. Only Google Analytics and Meta place cookies on nouna.io, and only if you accept cookies:

4. Managing Cookies and Storage
The banner offers "Accept cookies" and "Decline", one tap each. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of our public pages. Declining, then or later, stops Google Analytics and the pixel at once, deletes their cookies (_ga, _ga_<ID>, _fbp and _fbc) from nouna.io, and keeps their scripts from loading on your next visits. If we change how we use these cookies, we will ask you again.
Your browser also lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data for nouna.io at any time. Blocking cookies does not stop Nouna from working; the sidebar just forgets whether you collapsed it. Clearing site data also signs you out, since your session is stored there, and forgets your cookie choice, so you will be asked again.
5. Retention
- sidebar:state cookie: 7 days from the last toggle
- _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies (only if you accept): 2 years from when they were last set, or until you decline
- _fbp and _fbc cookies (only if you accept): 90 days from when they were last set, or until you decline
- Your cookie choice: in local storage until you clear site data, or until we change how we use these cookies and ask again
- Sign-in session: until you sign out, or until the session expires and cannot be refreshed
- Preferences in local storage: until you clear site data

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our cookie practices.
